Quite possibly the only Friesian stud in Australia or New Zealand breeding exclusively for the KFPS Main Studbook, Cacharel Friesians specialise in producing 'Breeding Quality' Friesians.

Cacharel Friesians are proud to offer the outstanding Foalbook filly, Wendy of Cacharel.

This filly provides an outstanding opportunity for any Stud looking to increase their breeding stock with proven breeding lines, as evidenced by the extraordinarily high number of Preferent horses in the pedigree. It is rare for a filly of this quality and with such an impressive pedigree to be made available in Australia.

It is extremely rare in Australia/NZ to have an opportunity to purchase a filly  sired by a Preferent Stallion whose Dam is also sired by a Preferent Stallion and when combined with the quality and age of the filly and the proven success of the motherline this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Wendy provides the serious 'new' breeder with an ideal starting point for their stud and an extremely valuable addition to any existing stud. Wendy's full sister, Nikkitta of Cacharel was a first premie filly at the 2006 Keuring and Queensland Champion at 16mths. In 2009 Nikki was elevated to Ster and once again was awarded the title of Queensland Champion. At 4.1/2 years Nikki measured 162cm by the FPS and we fully expect Wendy to equal this height.

Due to other commitments and our wish to concentrate on presenting Nikki to her full potential, Wendy was left at home with her mum, Ynskje (Ster) and not presented at the 2009 Keuring.

Wendy is now 20 months of age and an ideal age for the buyer to see exactly what they are getting. Unlike buying a weanling, at 20 months of age you can see exactly what you are buying with very little chance of any surprises as Wendy matures. Another advantage of buying a filly of this age is that within 18 months Wendy will be ready to join your breeding program and before the end of 2011 she will have presented you with her first foal, all being well.

We believe Wendy will develop into an extremely impressive example of the modern Friesian and fully expect her to be a stand-out at the next Keuring, like her big sister Nikki.

From 2009 onwards it will be the policy at Cacharel Friesians that whenever possible all stock offered for sale will be a minimum of 12 months of age. This enables prospective buyers to gain a more accurate assessment of the stock being purchased, which is not always possible when buying a weanling. Our next foals are expected on the ground in late 2010 and therefore should they be offered for sale will not be available until late 2011.
