2000 Keuring to gain a better understanding of the Keuring process.
The 2003 Keuring is only the second time the KFPS judges have
travelled to Australia to assess our horses. As yet no Keurings have
taken place in New Zealand though it is hoped that the 2006 Keuring
will encompass New Zealand. Mr Jan Hendriks ( who also judged
at the 2000 Australian Keuring) returned to Australia in April 2003 to
assess the Australian horses accompanied by Mr Edward Pouw. The schedule
was hectic and the travel was extensive with five judging venues from
Perth to Brisbane and a total of 47 Friesians to assess, all in
approximately 10 days. As is usual the presented horses were judged in-hand and 60% of the evaluation
was based on the quality of movement and 40% is based on conformation.
The ANZFHS/KFPS Keuring was held in April 2003 and
spanned five states of Australia. |
